Twenty-five years ago Enzo Favata’s CD “Atlantico” was released, a musical journey through Argentina and the South America inspired by Latin American writers Borges, Sepulveda, Marquez and Soriano. On this occasion, to celebrate the 25th year since the release of the album, the band comes together to share great emotions.
The concept album, published by the Manifesto, was immediately a record success that captured the imagination of many listeners, an album with many reissues reaching the figure of over 50,000 copies sold developing a popularity which opened a successful season for the Atlantico Quintet with more than 300 concerts worldwide over five years of activity, from 1999 to 2004, with tours in Brazil, Argentina and Europe.
The Atlantico Quintet is a well-known group among the “Generation X”: It was a word of mouth among those who bought the album, those who had seen their concert, articles and reviews in the press
internationally, they helped to make known to the big audience (especially young people) that dreamy music between Jazz and Latin American music, all this made the Atlantico Quintet the “Cult” band still loved today.
